Healthy Eating and Exercise for a Lifetime

Starchivore, starchitarian, or starchivorous eating is nothing new: it’s as much as 30,000 years old: or even older! People around the world historically have received most of their calories and energy from foods like potatoes, wheat, rice, oats, and corn for thousands and years. Sometimes people have had nothing more to eat than one of these! Yet they’ve done ok – look at people doing massive physical labour in Russia, Poland, and South America on virtually potatoes alone!  


It is “red light” foods like meat, dairy, eggs, fish, refined sugars, vegetable oils, and massive increases in salt, that are the principle cause of dietary diseases such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, kidney disease, and strokes. People do not become deficient from removing these foods: they get better!


There is no major dispute on this, from reputable scholars that have set their egos and money interests aside, and looked for the truth. Green light foods such as wholegrains, fruits, vegetables, legumes, wholewheat pasta, brown rice, corn etc. are the mainstay of the human diet.
